Band

DAWN OF DISEASE is a Death Metal band from Osnabrück, Germany, and was originally founded in 2003. One year later they released the MCD “Through Bloodstained Eyes”, which was sold out within a short time. Despite several performances with popular bands, 2007 marked the end of the band. But the resurrection with a new lineup didn’t take a long time…

Since their new formation in 2009 DAWN OF DISEASE have made their way to the top as heavy weights of Germany's Death Metal scene. With "Legends Of Brutality" (2010), "Crypts Of The Unrotten” (2012) and "Worship The Grave" (2016) they set a new standard for the expanding scene influenced by Swedish Death Metal without neglecting modern aspects in their music. Their following opus "Ascension Gate" (2017) marks an important cornerstone in the constant development of the band with enthralling guitar work, ravishing management of melodies and brilliant tone. A hurricane of blastbeat drumming and the gigantic growling of singer Tomasz spark a fire that forges their spirit. Not for nothing the album convinced both fans and press and even made it to #46 of the official German music charts.

Through the years DAWN OF DISEASE played numerous live shows on festivals (Wacken Open Air, Hellfest, Summer Breeze, Rockharz, Party.San, Rock Hard Festival, Metalfest, Extremefest, Metal On The Hill and many more) and supported bands like Behemoth, Amon Amarth, At The Gates or Arch Enemy. Playing live is their central passion what they show on each of their intense and thrilling shows.

With “Procession of Ghosts” DAWN OF DISEASE present their new phenomenal Melodic Death Metal work which is bursting with energy to stand out from everything before. Accompanied by a gloomy artwork created by Michał “Xaay” Loranc (Behemoth, Nile, Evocation, ...), this album features a significantly increased amount of atmosphere and catchy melodies, while retaining their initial blastbeating spirit. Mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren and Linus Corneliusson at Fascination Street Studios, “Procession of Ghosts” has everything to strengthen their status in the first row of German Death Metal bands and even far beyond that: Melancholy meets relentless brutality, hymnlike passages are chased by rapid riffing and this breathtaking package is arranged with catchy hooklines inside of a perfect soundscape crowned by Tomasz’ dark growls.

The time has come to join the Procession of Ghosts.
